Come Celebrate Winter Solstice Ceremony Led by Shaman Mignon Manin Erixon-Stanford, Ordained Minister, Vibrational Date: Saturday December 22, 2007 Sacred Ceremony 7:00- 7:45pm (Despacho) Where: Oneness Place Winter Solstice is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Inca peoples from Peru, it is called Qhapaq Raymi. We celebrate our gratitude for the presence of Father Sun, Tayta who represents the male energy, Pachaqamaq or the Great Spirit. It is the longest night of the year and the time to pray to bring the Light back into our lives. Each day after the Winter Solstice, the sun will start visiting us for longer periods of time. We can begin to consciously illuminate the shadow sides of our lives and declare that our true nature is that of Light Beings. Creating a Despacho is one way we offer gratitude to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (Mountain Spirits), for the abundance in our lives. We will connect with nature and create our intentions for the next year. The ceremony begins with clearing and grounding of our energy fields, followed by creating a traditional Despacho, which will later be burned in a fire. Shaman Manin has beautifully weaved together the traditions of the Andean Medicine People learned from her travels to Peru and Bolivia working along side the Andean Medicine Peoples, and her channeled Energetic Expansion Attunements from the Apus.
